Bud Sanders Memorial Scholarship

How we give back

The application period for the Bud Sanders Memorial Scholarship is currently open. We will be accepting applications starting in the summer of 2025 until August 31st, 2025 and will announce the winners at our annual meeting on September 6th. 2025.

​We would like to thank all of the donors who have generously contributed to the Scholarship Fund.

Applicants must meet the following:
  • Be and amputee within the MWAGA footprint. (Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska). Or be the immediate family member of an amputee (the applicant is the child, grandchild, adopted child, brother, sister, mother, father, or grandparent). Or pursuing a bachelors degree in orthotics and prosthetics. 
  • Be enrolled as a full-time student, at an accredited College or University within the MWAGA footprint  (Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska).

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION:
Complete Scholarship Application (Coming Soon)
School Transcript: Used to confirm minimum 2.5 GPA 
Letter of Reccomendation
Essay (500 word minimum) on why this scholarship is important to you and how it will impact your education.

*Renewing Scholarship winners need only to supply their current transcript and a short letter stating what school they are attending and which year of their undergraduate studies they are entering (second, third or fourth)
