The Midwestern Amputee Golf Association (MWAGA), established in 2001, is an organization composed of amputees from across the midwestern states of Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, Iowa, North and South Dakota. These amputees are interested in using the game of golf as a vehicle in their physical and mental rehabilitation process. Competition in sporting events in an outdoor setting, combined with the fellowship of people in similar situations, has proven to be a wonderful incentive to help people of all ages and physical challenges achieve the best life they can enjoy.

Our organization is an addition to the Eastern, Western, Southern and Southwestern regions that sponsor individual and regional golf tournaments throughout the year. This provides us an opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie and challenge of “teeing it up” with people sharing similar physical challenges.

The five regions go together to form the National Amputee Golf Association (NAGA) which has amputee members from all over the world.

MWAGA’s amputee membership, for $10.00 per year, is open to any individual who has lost one or more extremities at a major joint due to amputation or birth defect.

Associate membership is available, for $25 annually, to all non-amputees who are interested in our activities and support the work of the association.
